Mobile phones most commonly recycled

Did you learn about the recent study that was conducted to identify which are the mobile phones that are most commonly getting recycled?  The results of the study were interesting.  The Apple iPhones, especially the 3GS as well as the 4 versions, ranked at the top and are the two most commonly recycled mobile phones.

If you are keen to know their recycled values, well, the 3GS could get you £104 and an iPhone 4 could earn you a handsome £243.  Though the Blackberry Curve will only get you some £52, it is ranked next on this list of most commonly recycled cell phones.

You must also know that these monetary figures are only average amounts of the most popular recycling centres.  These figures also account for the condition of the phone, which means a mobile phone in good condition could fetch you even more than the average amount, while a handset that no longer works could merely get you a few pounds.  The recycle fee for the Apple 3G, which was also on the same list of most recycled phones, is around £60 on an average.

So which were other mobile phones on the list of most commonly recycled?  There was Blackberry Curve 8900, Touch, Bold, HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire and Samsung Galaxy, to name a few.  The recycle fee for most of these phones ranges around £50, while some recycling centres may even offer £100 as a reward for recycling.  You not only have the option of recycling your own phone, you can even buy a recycled phone, hence, knowing about the competition helps!
