Augmented Reality for Win Phone 7

I recently participated in a competition for winning an LG Optimus 7 smartphone that includes a really neat new feature known as Augmented Reality.

This feature actually works, utilizing your mobile camera for getting a video feed and thereafter augmenting it with audio, text and photos. The basic concept is to lend an enhanced touch of reality using your tablet or handset.

However, your mobile must have the right kind of hardware and software for using Augmented Reality. The hardware is quite easy to come by as the majority of the mobiles have a compass and camera as standard. The software, though, is a bit difficult to come across.  Although Win Phone 7 has been listed to have the enhancement application(s) for Augmented Reality, the function is being utilized only by LG Optimus 7 as of now.

If you are planning to purchase a new handset, why don’t you try the new Win Phone 7, especially the LG Optimus 7. In case you do, or in case you have a Win Phone 7 already, just let us know how you feel about it. You may check us out at Facebook or just leave your valuable comments here.

Meanwhile, don’t forget to recycle your old phones! Christmas is the peak time to buy new mobile handsets, and if you or your near ones are buying new handsets for Christmas, do recycle your used ones. The same applies to tablets as well. Our vendors offer excellent deals on iPods, iPads and a few SLR cameras as well!
